One of the factors that contributing to the attainment of the Four Star status through Texas WorkSource Child Care Solutions and the ongoing accreditation, is the high quality staff. El Buen Pastor E.C.D.C. requires and provides financial support for the attainment of the Child Development Certificate by all qualifying staff. Today, each staff continues to strive in the higher educational tier or have reputable post-secondary educational merits worthy of national accreditation. El Buen Pastor E.C.D.C. benefits from over 120 combined years of experience from full-time staff and one part-time accountant. This has been achieved even though city wide childcare centers suffer from a thirty-three percent turnover rate. According to the studies and research by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, stability of the staff for the children is critical in order to avoid passing onto children a sense of loss and separation.

Jesusa Alvarez	Has worked at El Buen Pastor ECDC for 2 1/2 years working with all age groups. Currently, she is working in the 3 year old classroom. She is also enrolled in Austin Community College Teachers Trac training to earn her CDA certificate. What is the best part about working with children? the laughs, the hugs, the stories children tell, and watching the children grow from infants to pre-schoolers.

Rafaela Benavidez	Rafaela has just joined the El Buen Pastor ECDC family. She is retired from Child Inc. and comes to us with the highest regard for children.
Elida Crisanto	Elida has been a part of El Buen Pastor ECDC's family for 5 years, although, she has been working in child care for 24 years. She is currently one of our toddler teachers. Leslie Cruz	Leslie has just started working with El Buen Pastor ECDC seven months ago. She helps Elida with the toddler classroom. What is the best part about working with children? the hugs from the children What is your favorite memory at El Buen Pastor ECDC? the silly things the children do.
Doris Lopez	Doris is our afternoon teacher for the 2 year old classroom when she's not in class at Austin Community College. What is the best part about working with children? Listening to the crazy things they say.
